In preparing for my faculty's upcoming staff development day, I created a Prezi (http://www.prezi.com/) centered around the notion of obtaining Mental Zoom Focus. Throughout this year, I have been using Jon Gordon's Training Camp as the basis for our theme. We've worked on becoming Ten Percent Better than the rest and several other concepts in the book. With spring and all it's distractions upon us, it was time to break out the chapter on Mental Zoom Focus.
Gordon sets out 3 techniques for creating ZF:
1) Ask the following question each day, "What are the three most important things I need to do today that will help me create the success I desire?" Then do them.
2) Set your priorities straight. Don't spend time on trival things that have nothing to do with our vision and goals.
3) Tune out distractions. Everyday focus on sustained continuous improvment.
(all found on pages 67-68 of his book)
Now that you've got some background, enjoy the Prezi!
