Here come the busses....

It's that time of year again! Last week the quiet hallways of my school were inhabited by 500 students donning bright smiles and their new clothes. Parents proudly walked their little ones across the crosswalk anxious to meet their new teacher.

The teachers, were anxious as well.

We, as educators, will work tirelessly to do whatever it takes for these students to be successful. Our mantra will be to do whatever it takes while they're with us during the day. We cannot control what happens when they go home. But, on our watch, we take the best care of them we can.

Best of luck as you all embark on a new year!

Cheating on this blog with my new blog

Shhh!! Don't tell...I've been working on launching my newest blog, www.thehometeams.blolgspot.com. It's a networking/devotional blog for Coach's Wives. I'd have to say it's going well. We average 10-20 hits a day which is really strong. It's kinda hard to keep both a personal and professional blog, but I'd like to keep them both going. After all, it is the 21st century and this is how we do things now. I plan to get back to posting more professional items on this blog.

This summer I've read a few interesting educational books...I have an entire arsenal I'm anxious to read. So many books, so little time !

Currently I'm reading Training Camp by Jon Gordon. I'm not too far into it. It's an inspirational book set to the tune of a football player. It works great for me right now. I'm surrounded by football! In fact, our campus theme this year is Team Chandler: Champions for Kids. I purchased these way cool banners on www.shindigz.com. Great website for fluffy stuff like that - you need to check it out.

This guys also wrote The Energy Bus. I'm hoping to read that one next. Followed by some others.... Failure is Not an Option, Failing Forward, etc.

It's going to be a busy fall!
